    Dear Bloggy,

Was watching this Channel 8 program on TV which talked about a girl that got hit by lightning. It somehow stirred something in me, which further enhanced my belief in true love.

She was a outgoing and ultra sporty girl which adored wind-surfing. One fine day, she was out surfing as usual when the the sky was painted grey, lightning followed by thunder took over. The next thing she knew, she fell into dark sleep, for a year.

Her boyfriend, whom she's dating with, was overseas for business trip for about a year and daily without fail, they communicated through phone and online mediums. He was about to propose to her on 7th July 2007, as he knew that 7 was her favorite number. But the tragedy befell before he can do that.

He travelled from his workplace in Choa Chu Kang to Changi everyday without fail, awaiting for her to wake up and glance at him again. It was a painful and mentally agonizing wait, which lasted for a year. He said, for the moment, he knew that he lost his pillar of support and he knew that he cannot lose her and what's more, he knew that she was the only one he wanted to marry. Even if the wait got extended to 5, 10 or 20 years, he'll still hang on to his belief that one day, she'll wake up (F**king touching).

So one fine day, she finally heard him pending for her and proceeded to her recovery back to health, but it was a long and tedious process and the lightning took away some of her major brain cells whereby she had difficulty talking, sitting up and even balancing. Nonetheless, he was always there for her, slowly guiding her back to shape.

He sticked to his original plans and proposed to her on the day itself, witnessed and had their blessing given by their friends and all. So, she asked him if he would regret, and he answered, would never.

Let's face the fact, how many people would do that? Sacrificing your youth for the unknown? In most circumstances, I believe people will get sad for the moment, get over it and get themselves a new partner. I truly salute this guy for his persistency and his love for his wife.

In alot of times, we leave when things occur, be it to not to our likings or we failed to see times earlier. But have we asked ourselves if we persisted on and cherished more, would things be different? Would it make a significant change to our lives? Would we be happier/be a better person?

**P.S. To Mr. and Mrs. I dunno your name: I truly give you my blessing and hope that this story of yours would ring a bell to some. :)

    Signing off with love,
    Crystal...

      You're my sweet addiction...
