    Dear Bloggy,

    2 Indonesian men are convicted of illegal human organ trading to two kidney patients in Singapore. It's said to be the first illegal organ trading cases to be prosecuted in Singapore. Something just flashed past my mind.

    If not for their dire straits, who would actually wanna risk being being sliced open and have a kidney being removed for just nearly $30k? Moreover, they're people from the suburbs, normally not highly-educated and have many family members to be taken care of.

    They could be sentenced up to $10k and jail term of 1 year each? And what about the people who actually seek for organs? Yes, they bleached the law terms but it's not mentioned how severe will it be. But if there's no demand, there would not be supply, no? The rich people who can afford such substantial amount of money should be more guilty than those people who are illiterate being persuaded into such deals! And what's worse, the media made it sound it those people are ought to be more guilty! Com' on, one of the kidney patient is Tang Wee Sung! Some filthy rich merchant! How "illiterate" can he be?

    I guess this society is way too harsh. Due to inflation, the worldwide societal gap between the rich and the poor are getting bigger and bigger. I just feel for the 2 men. Is it all about status, symbol and the assets that one is holding on to? I may be emotional, that's all because I still do have a HEART...
