    Dear Bloggy,

*blows off spidey webs* Woah, I realized I still have a blog and it has been left untouched for ages. Life has been so hectic recently with the legal and "illegal" stuffs. Good friends would know what I meant. Haha!

    I... ...
    • Drove my dad's car out
    • Got the car scratched by some idiot
    • Created a small dent on the boot
    • Booked for my Taiwan trip in December
    • Celebrated with my birthday in peace
    • Did some retarded dance for my kids during Children's Day
    • Finished my Special Needs Support workshop
    • Munched on the goodies that Mum and Dad bought from Hokkaido (*green with envy*)
    • Did whole lots of miscellaneous stuff
    • Blah blah blah
I'm only looking forward to my Taiwan's holiday. It's more of a sightseeing itinerary rather than a shopping trip. Most importantly, I'm the planner, creator, suggester, whatever you name it! Counting down to 10 December!

P.S. It's going to be our 2nd year anniversary soon! *lurve*

    Dear Bloggy,

This cough of mine is a SURVIVOR! It withstood the attacks from my cough medicine, prevailed against the antibiotics and opposed my natural anti-body~! Tell me how could it not be a survivor?! This survivor disallowed me to raise my voice at the kids, how to keep them in control? Haiz.

Seems that the "love" is being passed around. People are getting weaker, coughing and fever are norms plus doctor seems like they're earning big bucks! I guess this must be their season, just like the durians. Oh well, speaking of durians, I guess I'd have to wait till next year.

BF's sick too. Not becos of the "love" from me, it's all thanks to Subway. I guess they didn't really handle their food well. That poor boy LS 10 times throughout the night. And I always thought Subway's supposed to be healthy? *shrugs*

Oh god, please let us recover fast. :(

    Dear Bloggy,

It's a year full of weddings. I'm indeed happy for most but, yet doubtful for some. I've friends getting married after knowing each other for less than half a year. One even booked wedding package after getting together for 2 months. How amazing is it, dude?

Recently, I knew this girl from my course and she has been with her BF for approximately 8 months. On the second month, the BF went ahead to book the wedding package already. Her parents-in-law went ahead to decide on their ROM and customary dates without consulting her or her parents. We reckon it could be because her BF's brother wanted to get married to and in the Chinese tradition, it's deemed that the older one should get married before the younger one. If it's really the case, how sad is it to rush through the biggest event of your life. Of course my friend wasn't happy with that, but she didn't voice out and accepted it. Although I'm in no position to comment about her life, not mentioning that I've hardly know her for 3 months but, I felt that it's not unjustifiable. I'll definitely go all out to fight for my rights, given this scenario.

Moreover, the BF seems ermmmmm, a little too obsessive. Okay, very obsessive, possessive, whatever you call it. There's a basis for my statement and it goes:
    • He has to meet my friend everyday in the past, if not he'll get mad at her. Now he's staying over at her place.
    • He'll be very unhappy when my friend talks to guys online whereby he'll talks with unknown girls online.
    • He'll fake MC from his work, just to follow my friend for her gathering with her gal friends.
    • He said that he will jump off the building if my friend were to ever leave him.
    • He went ahead to book the wedding package after being together for 2 months. (As mentioned)
From an outsider point of view, he has been taking things for granted. When he stayed over my friend's place, he's sleeping on her bed and she'll sleeping on the floor with a mattress, mind you. And there was this incident that bothers me too much; as we were struggling with our assignments and tests for our module, my friend was so tired that she fall asleep on the bed. THAT guy accused my friend for occupying the bed for so long after she woke up! What crap is that?! AND GUESS WHAT?! MY FRIEND APOLOGIZED TO HIM?! My blood pressure shot sky high upon hearing it. It makes NO sense at all!! Just roll back to your bloody house or sleep in the bathroom, for god's sake.

When my friend asked me to be one of her sister during her customary, I was taken aback. I couldn't understand why she asked me. To my understanding, you'll find friends whom you're close with or your relatives. Until she told me that her friends don't like her BF, I understood. And now, I was truly enlightened. How could you see your friend undergo such treatment?! *faints* Hence, I rejected her request. Now that I think back, if I'm one of her sister, I'll only open the door after asking the guy to jump off the building and crawl up. I'm really not that kinda "sister" material for her, I think.

Seriously, looking at half of my kids coming from broken families, my heart goes out to them. I wonder how many people out there are really ready to set a family? Or are they just going with the flow? I don't know. I'll definitely not be one of them, that's for sure.

    Dear Bloggy,

I've suffered injustice! And it goes:

    Dear Mrs Tan,

This is Crystal here from group 1 of tutorial group 1.

Firstly, I would like to thank you for the going through the hassle of printing the notes for us. I feel that I've gained a lot more insights on my role as an AED since I've been doing small group teaching back in school. I believe the examples given and the activities conducted will be greatly beneficial in my course of work.

Secondly, I would like to make some inquiries with regards to the allocation of the marks.
    1. Are the marks allocated accordingly to the part of our individual presentation?
    2. What happens in the case of the group assigning one presenter as he was not involved in the preparation of the PowerPoint slides?
Besides that, I would like feedback on some issues about the assigned grouping. I do understand your kind intentions of grouping us randomly so as to let us interact and socialize with other course mates, instead of our usual choice of group.

However, I feel that there might be instances whereby some people might disregard their individual accountability in a group, perhaps due to the fact that they are not working with their friends. Unfortunately, this happened to me.

During our group discussion, we brainstormed for ideas together and I was being nominated to work on the PowerPoint presentation which I willingly accepted. In addition to the presentation slides, we've decided to add an group observation form which will assist us to assess on the group that we're being assigned to as part of our demonstration. After jotting down the points that we would like to include, I hinted to one of the member about the implementation of the form who hasn't had any task to do yet, hoping that he will volunteer for it. On the contrary, he said "Just put it in a table" and walked off.

On Tuesday night, I have to work throughout the night until 5a.m. to get the observation form and presentation slides done, right from the first to the last slides whereby every word's my work of originality. After which, during tutorial, I forfeited my lunch break to stay back and worked on the custom animation whereby another of my group member sat beside me and did his own things like his blog and what's not. A gush of injustice past right through me and my thoughts were like why could he display such indifference whereby I have to slog for our grades.

Please correct me if I'm wrong. To my understanding, even if I was the one working on the presentation slides, the content should still be contributed by the rest of the group instead of creating the entire PowerPoint, right from first word to the last word. On top of that, the slides were just printed without the group going through the content together and making amendments.

Although feeling short-changed, I didn't want to pursue this matter until today my friends told me that our presentation yesterday seems like only the members who did most of the talking during the presentation contributed to the efforts put in for the PowerPoint, and that's the reason for asking the questions as stated above. I am not here to gain all the credits by myself or to get the members punished, it is to get the grade that I deserved, instead of being penalized due to the lack of appearance during the presentation.

If I may, I would like to suggest a implementation of an evaluation form for group members to assess each other's contribution and effort. I truly hope that this unpleasant incident would not occur to anyone else in future. Alternatively, I hope that you will allow the AEDs to choose their own group in future and I believe, since they have worked together previously, they are suited to work in that manner.

Last but not least, I would like to say a big THANK YOU to the recognition that you have gave to my presentation slides and our demonstration. It is truly an encouragement and consolation it filled the gap of not being appreciated and grateful to.

P.S. My friends and I truly enjoyed your lessons! Hope to see you around soon. ;) Thank you for your time taken to read this lengthy email too! =D

    Thanks and regards,
    Crystal

    ** The End**

Haha, great job! U managed to hang on to my lengthy email.

P.S. You're messing with the wrong girl if you think she'll keep quiet and let you get all the credits. *roars* I AM NO LOSER!

    Signing off with love,
    Crystal
